What is a Sentinel Sponsor?
A Sentinel Primary Sponsor is an approved organisation responsible for an individual’s safety, competence, and compliance under the rail industry’s Sentinel Scheme. In effect, they provide your route into working on the railway. Sentinel cards are not issued to the general public; you must be sponsored by an approved organisation to obtain one.
Who is suitable?
Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. They are also required to have successfully completed a medical examination, including drug and alcohol screening, and must have a sufficient command of the English language.
How long does the process take?
The full process typically takes a few days depending on cource availability, medical booking and your readiness. We explain each step clearly before you commit.
